A Success! The Lincoln Day Dinner this year!
The annual Clallam County Republican Party fundraiser was held at the Red Lion Ballroom upstairs at the Red Lion Hotel, 221 N. Lincoln, Port Angeles, WA on Lincoln's birthday, Feb. 12th, 2010.
The event began at 6 p.m. with a no-host bar, followed at 6:30 by dinner - a wonderful buffet with salmon and prime rib and all the fixin's. People browsed and bid on the Silent Auction.
The entertaining and informative main speaker was Fredi Simpson, GOP State National Committeewoman, who shared her insights about politics and America, followed by our famous auction - always a blast, and a great way to raise money for Republican candidates and cover operating expenses for the county party. Bob Forde was the auctioneer, and there were some great items offered and sold - if you weren't there, you missed out!
There were also special performances by Amanda Bacon, and a brief talk by Doug Cloud, candidate for District 6 Representative running against Norm Dicks; and Deb Kelly, county prosecutor, who announced that she will run for the position again this year.
Caucuses were held on February 13, 2010
Caucuses were held the morning of February 13th, 2010, to elect delegates to the county convention and to collect input for the county platform and resolutions. Most of the precincts gathered in ‘pooled caucuses’ - one in each district. There was good conversation about issues, possibilities for presidential candidates in 2012, and election of county convention delegates. The county convention will be held on April 10, 2010 in Sequim.
The 4th of July Parades were great fun and well-received!
The Forks Parade GOP Entry took 2nd Place!
Way to go, Bill White & Team!!
The Port Angeles Parade included 3 entries!
Way to go, Dick and all who put this together!!
The Clallam Republican Party had a booth on the Waterfront for the 4th of July! The volunteers there handed out balloons and stickers - and were in an excellent place where they were easily seen when entering that area.
Not only did everyone have a great time, but the people along the parade route gave us many thumbs-up for the messages we conveyed.
In Sequim, there was a TEA Party!

Lincoln Day Dinner - March 2009
March 28, 2009 - Our Lincoln Day Dinner/Auction was successful beyond expectations. We are grateful to the businesses listed below for their support and their generous donations.
The Lincoln Day Dinner was held on Saturday, March 28th, 2009 Guest Speaker State Attorney General Rob McKenna.

Atty General Rob McKenna was joined by his lovely wife Marilyn at the Lincoln Day Dinner on March 28, 2009. Rob spoke about Lincoln, his education and his beliefs', the current condition of the nation, and the way to recovery through capitalism. He pointed out that small business is the backbone of the job market, and stated that more taxes on the backs of small business will harm, rather than help, the economy. By relieving the burden of taxation and regulation on small business, job capacities will increase along with business expansion.
Many thanks to the sponsors and donors for the auction. Please be sure to thank them when you see them - and do business with them when possible. Please remember to patronize these businesses whenever possible. They helped us. Let’s help them.
