Republicans participated in a nonpartisan "tea party" on August 14th, 2009 to urge Congressman Norm Dicks to hold open Town Hall meetings about the health care bill. The event took place on the main street near the Red Lion in Port Angeles. At various times, approximately 200 individuals showed up to express their concern. (See slideshow below). The Fair...
The Clallam County Fair was a lot of fun and very productive. We hosted a booth for the Party throughout the Fair, from Aug 20 thru 23, and got much interest in various issues, especially healthcare.
Thank you, volunteers, for manning the booth!
Meanwhile Dick and Company sold left wings and right wings, along with steak on a stake. For the first year, this was a learning experience, but profitable.

Boston TEA Party - Port Angeles Style!
Held at the Veterans’ Memorial Park, at 3rd & Lincoln Streetin Port Angeles on April 15, 2009 between noon and 3 p.m., the Port Angeles TEA (Taxed Enough Already) was a great success, with approximately 500 folks showing up!
Unopened boxes of tea were symbolically dropped into the ocean (the ocean was a trailer parked on-site). After the demonstration, the tea was donated to the local Food Bank.
Folks brought signs to express their indignity at ever-increasing taxes. Following are a few photos - watch for more to be uploaded within the next week.
